STAVINOX SERIES – FLAWCHEK - Liquid Dye Penetrant Inspection System

KEY APPLICATIONS AREAS :

• This product is designed to identify any surface imperfections on non-porous materials such as metals, plastics, and ceramics. These imperfections include cracks, seams, porosity, laps, laminations, and cold shuts.
• The product is commonly used to locate welding, casting, and forging defects, as well as leaks in new components and fatigue cracks on in-service components.
• It is effective in detecting a wide range of flaw sizes, regardless of their orientation, with a depth of 1 to 30 microns on a standard Ni-Cr test panel.
• This product has superior capillary action, is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and free from halides and sulfides. It meets the standards of MIL-1-25135, MILSTD 271, and IS: 3658-1981 "Code of practice for liquid penetrant flaw detection."

The system is composed of three parts.

STAVINOX CLEANER :

The first product is a cleaner that does not contain chlorine and dries quickly, with a 100% volatile composition and a specific gravity. It is also formulated to be non-toxic.

STAVINOX PENETRANT :

The second product is a red ultra high penetration dye with a specific gravity and no specified percentage of volatile composition. Like the cleaner, it is also non-toxic.

STAVINOX DEVELOPER :

Lastly, the developer has a 94% volatile composition, a specific gravity, and a vapor pressure range of 45-55 Psig, and is also non-toxic.

APPLICATION :

The assessment of minor surface imperfections and weaknesses in the welds, wrought and cast items made of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals, powder metallurgy elements, ceramics, plastics, and glass products is ideal. It is beneficial for detecting stress corrosion and fatigue fractures in structures like cranes, bridges, vessels, piping, and railways to avoid malfunctions, injuries, or fatalities.
